Big-boat habits on a boat that forgives while you learn them.

Everything about a keelboat is slower and heavier than a dinghy, which means every mistake gives you more warning and more consequence. We teach the Capri 22 as a systems boat: sail trim you can set and leave, reefing before you need it, anchoring you'd trust overnight, and the quiet choreography of putting a 2,300-pound boat exactly where you want it against a dock, with no engine to bail you out.

Weekend one earns Keelboat Crew; finish weekend two and the checkout sail, and you leave a rated Keelboat Skipper — sunset cruises on North Wind are on you now.

Departures and landings under power of persuasion alone (we have no engines), reefing, anchoring, and man-overboard recovery under sail.
